A wild and magical experience in one of the last stands of ancient Oak woodland, Whistman’s Wood, that lies hidden away in Dartmoor National Park provided half the inspiration for this piece. The rest of the inspiration comes from the materials foraged from various forests and beaches of this beautiful planet.
My deepest wish for my work is that others may be inspired by, and see, the exquisite beauty of the natural world. Worlds within worlds open up as we examine the small details, the textures of life, and the beauty inherent within decay and death.
