Welcome to the place of all things interesting. A cheese-dream board of workshop experiments and ideas, exhibitions and rituals, and the odd animal or two.
This painting, and its heavy hardwood frame, were shown as part of the Visionary Arts Collective group exhibition in Frome. Three days previously, just after applying the finishing touches to the canvas, I accidentally knocked the frame, hanging by a chain, which spun and gently knocked the painting on its easel. The easel wobbled, and as I dived to try and save imminent disaster, it fell, hitting the corner of a wooden workhorse, causing a six-inch gash as the wood poked through. Three sleepless nights later, and with the damage made good, it went to the exhibition with the paint still wet. Phew!
